Koryu Uchinai Kenpo-Jutsu

Koryu Uchinadi Kenpo Jutsu is a modern interpretation on Okinawa's historic combative methods. Koryu Uchinadi covers all combative ranges including striking, kicking, receiving impact, locks, chokes, throws, escapes and groundwork.

Okinawan Kenpo is the precursor to what has become modern Karate. What has become a popular sport focusing primarily on impacting was once a brutally effective a cross-functional combative method arising from 3 main influences;

1) Muay Boran (a thai striking method and the precursor to Muay Thai)

2) Chin Na (chinese grappling and balance displacement)

3) Tegumi (a native Okinawan wrestling discipline)

Koryu Uchinadi Kenpo Jutsu is a non-competitive, totally application-based defensive practise - puntuated with moral philosophy along with academic and historical pursuits combined in a single study. This is exemplified in the Japanese maxim Bun Bu Ryu Do (twin paths of the pen and the sword), which forms the basis of the Koryu Uchinadi Kenpo Jutsu crest.
